This talk features Ericka Hart (she/they) a black queer femme activist, writer, highly acclaimed speaker and award-winning sexuality educator with a Master’s of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University.

This program will explore the historical implications of sexual violence in the US, what feminism and neoliberalism have to do with the national discourse, and how it impacts all of us at our intersections.

Based on the true story of Judge Xiomara Torres Join us this evening for our Fall 2019 PAWTalk: Judge Torres in Fine Arts Recital from 5:30pm - 7:30pm! 

Portland's Milagro Theatre will showcase the life of Multnomah County Circuit Judge Xiomara Torres. Judge Torres is a modern-day fairytale rooted in Salvadoran folklore. It is a story of triumph against the odds; Xiomara Torres made her rise from undocumented immigrant to one of only a few Latina judges in Oregon. 

Materials in BOTH English and Spanish will be provided. After the play, attendees will be able to engage in a brief facilitated dialogue with the performers. Food and beverages will be provided after the show. All undergrads, grads, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend! This event is open to the public!
