Nominate yourself to run for SWE leadership!

It is now the time to nominate yourself for SWE leadership! It is an
excellent place to learn great leadership, organization, communication
skills, and more. Nominate yourself for one of the following positions
by emailing me directly at johns5@umbc.edu.
Please note that we are adding two new positions: Membership Chair and
Outreach Chair. These positions will offer you the opportunity to
define what your responsibilities are and work with the SWE leadership
team. Depending on the interest in the president and vice president
positions, I am very interested in mentoring a new SWE leadership team
of current sophomores or freshman so please do take this chance to run
for a position. I will stay on as a "past president" and help plan and
coordinate SWE activities as the new leadership team determines.

The positions are:

President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Membership Chair
Outreach Chair

Please nominate yourself by our Wednesday, April 11 meeting so that we can have the nominees introduce themselves at the meeting.

SWE is looking for a treasurer!

Our SWE chapter is looking for a treasurer! We hope to fill the
position by the end of the semester so we will not have any vacancies in
any executive positions going into next semester. The responsibilities
of a treasurer are defined by our constitution and the SGA. To be
recognized by SWE national, the treasurer must be a collegiate member of
SWE which is only $20 a year (this is the price for any student who
wants to belong to SWE national). You would have to be trained by the
SGA to handle the accounts and request money from the SGA. It's a
pretty straightforward process and the current executive board would
help to coordinate your training (which can take as little as an hour).

If you are interested in this position, email Lily Johnson at johns5@umbc.edu to nominate
    yourself by Monday, November 21,
     a week from today.
If there are several people interested, a ballot will be created to vote
for the new treasurer. Any more questions about the treasurer position
or responsibilities can also be directed to Lily.
