Eric Zeemering, an assistant professor of public policy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), is the author of a new book that examines what Baltimore is doing to become a more sustainable city. In this video, Zeemering discusses how sustainability is defined in Baltimore, and he shares how government officials, community organizations, and state and federal agencies have taken a collaborative approach to implementing a sustainability agenda. Zeemering's new book, "Collaborative Strategies for Sustainable Cities: Economy, Environment and Community in Baltimore," (Routledge Studies in Public Administration and Environmental Sustainability), was published on May 28, 2014.
