Environmental Background: Brianna worked on an organic farm in high school through a volunteer opportunity with her youth group. For a week she helped plant, pick, and water crops on the family owned farm in Prince Frederick, MD. This was her first experience working with a sustainable initiative and has really helped her to realize the importance of it in the world. In her freshman year of college she volunteered at Schoolyard Discovery, an environmental education program for elementary school students. She also has been involved in many service projects at her home in New Jersey and here at UMBC such as working at the Irvine Nature Center, park clean ups, and recycling projects. Brianna has always had an interest in the environment, ever since her parents instilled a love for nature at a young age.
Fun Fact: Brianna has been a member of Phi Mu Fraternity for Woman since her freshman year. Through this organization she has done many service projects and raised money for her philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. She also has had the opportunity to network with women all over the country and be involved in sisterhood which will last a lifetime.
