RESPONSIBILITIES: | The incumbent will work as part of the Academic Affairs Other Units (AAOU) Shared Services Center (SSC) team and will be primarily responsible for processing a variety of administrative transactions for the departments being serviced by the AAOU SSC. Responsibilities will be apportioned over four functional areas: payroll, accounts payable, HR/hiring, and procurement. Duties will include processing bi-weekly payroll, change PAR and CAR requests, miscellaneous payment requests, travel reimbursements, working fund requests, journal entries, new hire paperwork, and purchase orders and requisitions. Additional responsibilities to include monthly reconciliation, budget review and analysis, and other assigned duties and projects upon periodic request by the departments and/or AAOU SSC Assistant Director. Note: This position is open to current UMBC employees only. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | Education/Experience: Requires a High School Diploma/GED and six years progressively responsible experience in a combination of budgeting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, and personnel work, one year of which involved full supervisory responsibility. Must have excellent communication, customer service, organizational, computer, problem-solving, and time management skills. Familiarity with the UMBC PeopleSoft systems, policies, and procedures. MS Excel experience preferred. Note: Position will require a background check. |
SALARY: | Pay Range 11 (starting at $37,199) based on a University of Maryland System Pay Program. |
