    <div class="html-content"><div><div><p>A paid Research Assistant position is opening in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Health Administration and Policy in June or July 2018.  The RA will assist with a variety of tasks related to study management, data collection, and analysis, in the areas of maternal and child health, health services research, and implementation science.</p><p> </p><p>Position Details</p><p>·      The position will be for an initial period of 2 months, with the option to extend contingent on performance and availability of funding</p><p>·      The position will be paid at standard rates for current students and $12/hour for graduates</p><p>·      Examples of tasks include transcribing interviews, record keeping, managing quantitative datasets, conducting quantitative analysis, and running errands related to the research project</p><p>·      The RA must work from campus during normal business hours</p><p>·      There is potential for the RA to be included as a co-author on journal publications</p><p> </p><p>Requirements</p><p>·      Recent graduate preferred, but current students in their final year will be considered</p><p>·      Ability to commit 25 to 30 hours per week, during normal business hours, from June/July through October</p><p>·      Coursework in statistics and experience with data analysis preferred</p><p>·      GPA of 3.8 or higher preferred</p><p>·      Strong writing skills required</p><p>·      Experience conducting literature reviews preferred</p><p>·      Detail oriented, ability to complete work free of errors, and ability to ask questions necessary to fully understand the tasks, are necessary</p><p>·      Ability and willingness to independently learn to use qualitative and quantitative analysis software required</p></div></div><div><div><div>For more information and to apply please visit UMBCWorks: </div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://umbc-csm.symplicity.com/students/index.php?mode=form&amp;id=09cbecb81df47a45fe9d2c289c8194b6&amp;s=jobs&amp;ss=jobs">https://umbc-csm.symplicity.com/students/index.php?mode=form&amp;id=09cbecb81df47a45fe9d2c289c8194b6&amp;s=jobs&amp;ss=jobs</a></div></div></div></div>
