Transnuclear, Inc., a subsidiary of Areva that provides dry storage and transportation for spent fuel and radioactive waste, located in Columbia, MD, is looking for immediate assistance on one of their projects.
Transnuclear Inc. is looking for a temporary Engineering Assistant to support the License Renewal Project. The candidate will perform the following tasks in support of the project:
- Identify and collect applicable project related engineering documents from the TN document management system and entering them into project specific databases for further use by the project team. Engineering documents may include design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, safety analysis reports, etc.
- Analyze specific engineering documents and create project specific databases based on instructions from the project team
- Proficiency in Word and Excel is required. Prior experience preparing databases using Excel preferred.
- Part time/flexible hours possible.
Minimum Qualifications:
GPA: 3.0 over the last 45 credits
Majors: Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering
Class Standing: Junior, Senior or Grad Student
