The First Data technical intern program offers talented college students an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain hands on experience working as part of a truly global support team working with professionals across the enterprise. 

As an intern on our Development team, you will work on our core products and services; you will be interacting with the Application Development teams across the country and overseas; you will interact with Product Managers, Project Managers, GIO (Global Infrastructure Operations) resources and Client/Partner IT resources to collaborate on projects.  Depending on your background and experience, you will be working in one of the following areas:

First Data Debit Gateway

First Data Prepaid/Gift cards

Payment Gateways

Credit/Debit Authorizations and Processing

Responsibilities:

*Specific responsibilities vary by project area; however may include:

•Updating and maintaining technical documentation

•Participates in design sessions, testing, coding and troubleshooting with developers

•Recommend solutions for business requirements

(Possible 2 semester commitment)

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience in systems software or algorithms

•Experience/classes in C, C++, Java, SQL, .NET, C#, XML and/or COBOL

•Knowledge of UNIX/Linux 

•Experience with Windows OS (XP, Vista, 2003 server, Win 7) installation and configuration

•Exposure to User Interface design and development
