Location- Lanham, MD
Must be Able to Obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance
Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern would support the development of a variety of software systems.
Application areas include mobile applications, cloud computing and content
management systems. Many of these systems focus on the organization,
mining, search, and visualization of text and multimedia content. The
systems are primarily web- and mobile based. The role of the intern would
be to identify opportunities for leveraging state of the art technologies
to address the needs of the customer. The intern would be involved in
formulating requirements for systems as well as designing, implementing,
testing and deploying these systems. The intern would be involved in
database, backend and frontend development in order to achieve consistent
and effective user experiences.
Required Qualifications:
The intern should have solid programming skills and be familiar with
Python, Java and C#. The intern should also have strong skills in
web-development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, HTML5, REST) and
experience in developing mobile systems (Android and iOS). TS Clearance
must be obtainable. Candidate must be available to work an average of 17
hours per week during usual business hours.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with developing smart phone and tablet applications is desired
but not necessarily required.
Benefits:
Interns will be eligible to work approximately 17 paid hours per week and be considered for a fulltime employment at the end of the spring term.
