The Shriver Center has 1 Service-Learning Intern position open for the Fall 2010 semester. Interns play a pivotal role in The Shriver Center's Service-Learning Program, which places nearly 600 UMBC students each year at service sites. Service-Learning Interns are student leaders who aspire to take on a more challenging role to lead various service sites.
Open position:
• College Night Mentoring Program Service-Learning Intern – Assist adolescent participants of The Choice Program with academics and development of positive social skills. Intern coordinates educational and recreational activities for the program on Mondays from 5pm-8:15pm.
Benefits:
Each Service-Learning Intern receives a $500-750 stipend for the semester, and a Service-Learning Leadership transcript notation with their enrollment in the 096 Practicum.
