Interested students must go on SOLAA (https://solaa.si.edu/solaa/SOLAAHome.html) to apply for opportunities.
Currently, most paid internships go through our Office of Fellowships. One of the programs is called the Minority Awards Program (http://www.si.edu/ofg/Applications/MIP/MIPapp.htm). Students can apply for this opportunity and request placement at the National Museum of American History.
The Smithsonian encourages students to go to their website and click on “About the Museum” (http://www.americanhistory.si.edu/about/index.cfm). This page will give you access to links on the left side of the screen that will give you more information about the museum and the people that work in it.
