Have you secured a great internship or research experience for this Fall, but have no idea how to get credit for it?
Are you simply looking to have your hard work noted on your transcript for that all-important Grad School or employment application?
Has it been tough for you to nail down a time to meet with your coordinator this semester?
Never fear - The Shriver Center is here to help!
On Monday, October 3rd and Tuesday, October 4th from 9:00am - 3:00pm, all you have to do is walk in! During those hours, Shriver Center coordinators will be available to explain your credit options, help you get that notation onto your transcript and answer all of the questions you may have about your internship.
If you've been putting this off, or thought it was too late to get credit for Fall, mark your calendar today!
What: Shriver Center Internship/Co-op/Research Registration Walk-In Hours
When: Monday, October 3rd, Tuesday, October 4th, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Who: UMBC Undergraduates
Where: The Shriver Center, First Floor, Public Policy
Why: To get your internship recognized and help you avoid having to make an appointment
What to bring: If you have documentation of your position (e.g., an offer letter, etc.), it is helpful, though not required, to have that with you. If your position was secured via UMBCworks, no documentation is needed.
Contact The Shriver Center with questions: 410-455-2493. All positions must be registered by The Shriver Center before October 6, 2011. No exceptions! If you are unable to attend the walk-in hours, please call to schedule an appointment at a more convenient time for you.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
These walk-in hours are for placements only, not for resume reviews or students seeking internships. Students walking in to the Shriver Center during these hours looking to have their resumes reviewed/approved will be asked to make an appointment with their respective coordinator.
