UMBC Shambala is a new student organization that started last semester. We raise money for an orphan sponsorship program in Tibet through a small nonprofit called The Shambala Foundation: www.shambalafoundation.org. Our Facebook group is: http://www.facebook.com/groups/UMBCshambala/?fref=ts. So far we've already raised around $2,000! We host cool events like parties at local clubs, music benefit shows, food making parties, and more.
