UMBC President Freeman Hrabowski addresses the crowd at Election Night Extravaganza in 2008.
Are you looking for a way to get involved with this year's election or refuel your creative juices before the school year starts? SGA needs your talent!
This year we will host Election Night Extravaganza after the polls close on November 6th. We hold this event every four years to celebrate our ability to vote and to watch the election returns and see who will be our representatives for the next four years. There will also be some exciting referenda on this year's ballot for Maryland voters, so this election is more important than ever. It'll be a fun night with lots of food, games, and friends.
We are eagerly looking for a logo, t-shirt design, and poster to help students recognize Election Night Extravaganza and other election related events. Designs should be patriotic, creative, and appropriate. If you think you have a great idea, send your designs to SGA's Director of Community and Governmental Affairs Meghan Carpenter at cmeg1@umbc.edu by September 4th. The Planning Committee will choose a design to be seen around campus and the community, and the winning designer will get a prize!
Best of luck!
