I am the current VP now, and I have really enjoyed my time being a part of this organization. I'm passionate about the cause and just serving the community .
What plans do you have for this club?
Updating the database, continuing the diaper drives, continuing to find ways to help pregnant and parenting women on campus, attending the March For Life and Conference in January, having fun and spreading the pro-life message
What other extra-curricular activities are you involved with?
I do applied learning experiences as part of the Sherman Scholars Program, and I'm going to be a desk receptionist in the fall. I also attend some Bible Studies on campus.

March for Life and Great Prolife Conferences this week!
This week there will be a whole bunch of Prolife online events! The March for Life is going to be streamed on Friday, January 29th followed by the Cardinal O'Connor Conference on Saturday, January 30th and trainings during the StandforLife weekend which are free! Why are you a good fit for this position?
I am relatively new to social media, but I am learning fast.
What plans do you have for this club?
I would like students for life to have a greater presence on campus. So by expanding our social media presence, we can connect with UMBC students and groups. I know one of the problems we face as a student organization is people knowing that we are here, so my goal is to make it so that every student on campus at least knows about students for life.

Why are you a good fit for this position?
I believe that I am a good fit for this position because as a secretary, they schedule meetings and keeps records of the meetings. As a hard worker who strives to do her best in all of her work, I integrate determination, creativeness, organization, dedication, detail, and effort into my work in order to achieve an overall effective presentation. Some qualities I have are positivity in negative situations; generosity and friendliness towards others; patience in difficult times; respect towards others; and attentiveness in learning. Not only am I computer savvy, but I am also familiar with communicating with others and creating projects. I will incorporate all of these factors given the opportunity if selected.
What are your plans for this club?
I plan to incorporate more creative ideas into the club. For example, having parents who are students on-campus come in and speak to the group from their experience, so that we can be able to better help their needs. In addition, I want to help the group to the best of my ability, so that this organization can stand out from the other organizations on campus so that others can feel inspired and join/help this organization. Along with the tasks of a secretary, I want to create meeting minutes for people that weren't able to make the group's meetings in which it summarizes what the group discussed.
What other extracurricular activities are you involved in?
As of right now, I am only involved in the club Students for Life. Apart from school activities, I work part-time in the hospital, but it is only in the evenings.

Candidate: Neyla Sherrod
Why do you think you are a good fit for this position?
I'm organized and committed to helping the pregnant moms and help them choose life. I attended just about all of the meetings so far, and I've done a lot of work to help the pro-life cause. During the 2019-2020 year I've been involved with working on the database to help pregnant mothers (I worked mainly on adoption options), I've attended the pro-life conference back in January, helped with spreading information about financial aid/scholarships available to moms, and more! Additionally I'm someone who is able to manage time well, and I'm very passionate about helping others. I aim to be a woman of integrity, and one who wants to help others succeed.
What plans do you have for this club?
I want to see if we can do sidewalk counseling next semester. We couldn't do it this year because of COVID-19. I also think it would be great if we are able to raise more awareness about our cause and why we're pro-life, along with continuing to provide resources for pregnant and parenting moms. It would be cool if we could work with other clubs and try to set up some sort of free child-care/babysitting system for moms at UMBC.

I truly care about this club and I would like the opportunity to lead it next year. I have learned from my year as president, to involve club members and officers in all aspects of the club as possible and making it feel like their club too. I will continue to do all of that in a better way next year.
