Students, faculty and staff of UMBC have the opportunity to come together in a unique and meaningful way to honor the victims of September 11th and build something positive out of the destruction our country faced. Members of
the UMBC community are encouraged to pledge hours of community service to a non-profit organization of their choosing. Participants have the option of dedicating their service in memory of one or more of the victims. This powerful
and distinctive project unites the members of our community in making a positive impact through our actions and, communicates that we remember what was lost on that day and that we will do our part to rebuild and strengthen our
nation. For more information, please visit http://911day.org website, to formally dedicate your service to a 9/11 victim.
