Alternative School Breaks, also known as ASB, allows for students to spend their vacation time serving their communities. One of UMBC's trips involved a group providing service to The Arc of Carroll County. The Arc works with and advocates for people with mental and developmental disabilities. During spring break students were allowed to see the inner workings of this foundation, and volunteer with a one-on-one client for the week.
