The Arbutus Achievers program is a one on one mentoring and college readiness program for students at Arbutus Middle School. Volunteers will help their student with their schoolwork and lead them in volunteer created activities about arts, the environment and other topics. In addition, volunteers will bring Arbutus Achievers students to UMBC to meet with clubs and explore the campus, giving students a way to see the opportunities available to them in college. The Arbutus Achievers is a tutor-led program where volunteers will be able to develop activities, tours and learning experiences for their student.
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:15-4:00, transportation is provided!
Please contact Max Poole at maxpool1@umbc.edu if you would like to volunteer.
