The 6th Branch is a veteran-run non-profit that conducts aggressive community service projects in East Baltimore. This organization is involved in re purposing abandoned green spaces in 3 communities in East Baltimore. Volunteers from all walks of life, including veterans and service-oriented civilians, contribute to this effort.
Friday from 10am-2pm: The address is 1600 Ellsworth St Baltimore MD 21213. It takes place at the Oliver Community Farm. We operate a community farm that distributes fresh produce back into the community around the farm.
The 2nd Saturday of the Month from 9am-12pm: The address is 923 E Chase St Baltimore MD 21202. We are helping rebuild a city park so that is a useful resource to the community. Also we help provide the maintenance to the park in a "friends of" capacity.
Also on January 16th we will be hosting an MLK day Event from 9am to 1pm. The morning meeting site being 1100 Brentwood Place. The projects will be throughout the Johnston Square Community participating in basic clean-up events. More on the projects details in the next couple weeks as we talk to community partners to solidify the projects for the day.
