Patapsco Hertiage Greenway volunteers are looking for volunteers from UMBC to join them for a Tree Maintenance event along Herbert Run (stream) off of Shelbourne Avenue on campus at UMBC. This is their final tree maintenance for this riparian buffer (stream bank vegetation), removing fencing and final mulching. The group planted 50 trees here over 3 years ago, and as the young trees get established, they need the following:
They plan to weed, trim and mulch these trees for the last time and will be removing the stakes and cages that first held the saplings upright, but as the trees grow, get in the way.
