UMBC student organizations are supporting the non-profit organization in the Baltimore Area called Living Classrooms.
Living Classrooms strengthens Baltimore communities and inspires young people to achieve their potential through hands-on education and job training, using urban, natural, and maritime resources as “living classrooms.”
Among the many different programs that Living Classrooms runs for the inner city youth of Baltimore is an after school program for elementary and middle school aged kids at the Carmello Anthony Youth Center. This program runs from 3-6PM on weekday afternoons (Mon-Thurs) and the center is in need of volunteers to tutor, mentor, and supervise these kids on a consistent basis.
If you are interested, please contact us and we can connect you with the group that is currently volunteering.
