The following project has been modified by Arnold Foelster.
Project Name
FAC SR - Ensure ENGL Comp Req. completed within 1st 30 hours
Project Sponsor
Yvette Mozie-Ross
Project Description
Ensure ENGL Comp Req. completed within 1st 30 hours
#39 Faculty Spreadsheet
The items that have changed are:
Status Summary: Pam, Nate, Yvette, Ken, Steve and others met with English Department representatives extensively through Spring 2012. In conjunction with our IT specialist, Nate developed a REX report that identifies students who are at risk of not fulfilling or have not fulfilled the requirement within their first 30 credits. Using the report, Ken, the Registrar???s Office and the English Department are partnering on communications strategies. Once we have actively engaged in these communications with students, we will re-evaluate the numbers assess what additional strategies should be employed.
In addition, our scheduling team has worked with the English department to leverage the use of reserve capacity to ensure course availability for freshmen, and we have made updates to the requirement language in the degree audit.
"Meeting scheduled with English Department, SA team and Enrollment Management to discuss further.
Project has been approved. Will pilot Summer/Fall 2012 with full deployment in the Spring semester 2013."
