Recommended by member(s) of the SA Academic Advisory Committee.
Pros and cons to both approaches. Some departments are in favor of "permission numbers" to manage access to permission required courses while others prefer "student-specific" permissions.
"Student-specific permission functionality was piloted by English department for Spring 2010. Pilot was successful. A few other departments explored this option during Fall 2011.
Registrar's Office to roll out this option more broadly for Spring 2012 scheduling. Considering making default ""student-specific"" permission."
