Who is Eligible? ALL UMBC Student Employees who are working a minimum of 8 hours per week on campus.  It is open to all levels and majors.

Purpose of the Practicum: To help student employees enhance and showcase their skills in the workplace at UMBC.

Background on PRAC 102
As you know, making connections between campus jobs and both academic lives and future careers is about seeing transferable skills.  Through this practicum, students will not only make those connections but learn how to articulate those connections to help them in resume writing and interviewing for jobs. Students will also attend and reflect on workshops that help them develop skills they are using on the job now and in the future. This zero credit course will appear on their academic transcript.

Tomatoes:

Known scientifically as Solanum lycopersicum, the tomato is the berry of a plant from the nightshade family, native to South America.

Despite technically being a fruit, the tomato is generally categorized as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are the major dietary source of the antioxidant lycopene, which has been linked to many health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and cancer.

They are also a great source of vitamin C, potassium, folate and vitamin K.
