Student Grades by Group replaced by Student Course Enrollment by Plan
In an effort to eliminate reports that are providing the same information, we have removed the Student Records and Enrollment > Course Enrollment > Details > Student Grades by Group report. Instead of using this report, you should now use the Student Records and Enrollment > Course Enrollment > Details > Student Course Enrollment by Plan report. At the Select by Student Group? parameter, select 'Yes', and then select the desired group(s) from the Student Group parameter.

Application Trends by Plan report has been updated
The Application Trends by Plan report has been updated with the following.
- combined the Career and Admit Type parameters into a new parameter to allow selection from the following; Freshmen, Transfer, Masters, Doctorate and Post-Bacc.
- added new parameter to allow selection of Program Action Reason.
- added new parameter to allow selection of Campus
- added to the report output a 'Denied' column count
- and best of all the report now runs faster

New Course Utilization report available
We have a new ‘Course
Utilization’ report that combines five reports located in the Curriculum
Management > Course folder. Yes, we have moved the cheese. The
selection of the courses displayed are the same, active courses that are
indicated as the Primary Course. You may have to
select all from the Components parameter if the course you are looking for is
not the graded component. On the
Class tooltip you will find the following: Instructor’s Name, Instruction Mode,
Room Capacity, Location, Combined Sections, Course Type, Component, Class
Attribute and Class Attribute Value. The Cmbd tooltip displays each combined
class and the enrollment. Two additional columns pertaining to the term have
been added, Authorizations Generated and Day 1 Waitlist, when available.
The 5 replaced reports are:

Sections at 90 Percent Capacity

Report Updates in REX Guided Reports
We have renamed the Active GEP and GFR Classes report to Courses by GEP and GFR Attributes. This report can be accessed by navigating to:
Curriculum Management > Course > Courses by GEP and GFR attributes.
We have moved the High Deficiency Rate Coursesand LRC101A Analysis reports from the folder Curriculum Management > Course > to the folder Student Records and Enrollment > Course Enrollment.
We have updated the Course Enrollment report. Now included are the headcount of In-State and Out of State tuition and their credits attempted by In-State and Out of State. This report can be accessed by navigating to:
Curriculum Management > Course > Course Enrollment.

Report Updates in REX Guided Reports
We have several new reports available in REX as well as some report modifications to announce:
A new
report, Reserve Capacity Sections, has been created in REX to allow users to view
reserve capacities that have been set up for courses during the selected
term. This report is useful to scheduling coordinators who set up
reserve capacity requirement groups as it allows them to review the
groups, start dates, and capacities that have been set up for the
groups.
The report can be accessed by going to rex.umbc.edu, clicking on 'Guided Reports', then navigating to:
Curriculum Management > Course > Reserve Capacity Sections
The Ticket Queue Changes report is a new report that will
allow users to see which tickets were initially assigned to their queue
but ended up being resolved in a different queue. A date range
(defaulting to the last 7 days) can be entered for reviewing queue
changes.
The report can be found at:

The
Active Instructors report has been modified to include a column which
shows the instructor's primary role. Parameters have been added to the
report to allow for selection by Primary Role and selection of Primary
vs. Non-primary instructors. Note that an instructor is considered to
be a Primary Instructor if he/she is the primary instructor on any
section during the selected term.
The report can be found by navigating to:
Curriculum Management > Faculty > Active Instructors
We have renamed the Course Prereqs by Session report to Course Prerequisites.
This report can be accessed by navigating to:
Curriculum Management > Course > Course Prerequisites
In
order to distinguish between the session codes within a term, we have
modified the following reports to include grouping by Session:
Curriculum Management > Course > Classes with Final Exam Conflicts
Curriculum Management > Course > Cross Listed Courses Without Combined Section
Curriculum Management > Course > High Deficiency Rate Courses
Curriculum Management > Course > Unapproved Grade Rosters
The UG Retention and Graduation Rates report has been modified to allow for selection of Student Groups for retention and graduation rates. It also allows for the option to select on Discipline Area instead of Reporting Org, if desired.

New Historic Class Rosters report available in REX
A new
report has been created in REX to allow users to view historic class
rosters. Search criteria is similar to that of the PeopleSoft Class
Roster. For current and
future term information, you should continue to use the PeopleSoft
version. The REX report should be used for looking up
historical class information. Note that this report is
available only to those who have access to the Details folder in Student
Records and Enrollment > Course Enrollment.

A new report has been created in REX to allow users to search the
Schedule of Classes for historical terms using search criteria similar
to that offered in the PeopleSoft self-service view. For current and

New Reports - to help with Management of Class Meeting Space
Two new reports have been deployed to help with the management of class meeting space, particularly where and when classes meet. They are generally to be used for looking for discrepancies or odd combinations of time and place. As such they are probably most useful for facility management and the Registrar's office. Both of the new reports can be found in the folder
Home > Curriculum Management > Room
Class Where and When Permutations - Shows the aggregate number of class meetings by one of four different views.
Class Meeting Details - The detail records underlying the aggregate numbers in the "Class Where and When Permutations" report. It can and should be used by clicking on an aggregate number in that report. It shows the details about the days, times and rooms associated with each class meeting.
