Retriever Essentials
March 2, 2020 at 11:14 AM
Once again, our kind and caring UMBC community came forward to support struggling students in need of food. Thank you for helping us to help our students succeed in their studies and to (hopefully) graduate with a degree so that they will never be hungry or homeless again!! - Julie Rosenthal - Program Management Specialist This was my first giving day at UMBC and I was so impressed with the generosity of our community! I’m so thankful that so many people believed enough in our mission and our work that they chose to donate to retriever essentials. I know that their support will help us to improve food access at UMBC! - Ryan Kmetz - Assistant Director of Sustainability Thank you UMBC community for all the donations. Giving day to me means we are taking steps away from hunger & suffering and steps towards a world with communities that take active action to show care rather than just speaking care into existence. - Jada Washington - Health Administration and Policy Program Intern UMBC Giving Day has become a true representation of the kindness and care we witness each day through the generous donations from the community. We all stand together in the mission to achieve basic need security for all. And on February 27th, the campus demonstrated just that. – Fariha Khalid – CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA/Program Coordinator
