UMBC Residential Life is pleased to present the Residential Life Student Success Scholarship and the Clarence E. Robinson Jr. Memorial Scholarship to assist residential students financially during academic year 2016, spring semester. All interested applicants must submit required materials by or before Monday, October 26, 2015, 11:59pm to Jessica Williams, wjessica@umbc.edu. Several scholarships may be awarded. Funds will vary based on eligibility.

Residential Life Student Success Scholarship in partnership with UMBC’s cable television contract with Institutional Network Communications assists students who demonstrate significant financial need to remain on-campus residents, who may otherwise be unable to afford housing. It is the intention of Residential Life to be able to offer financial support to assist residential students in their continued education at UMBC at critical points in their academic careers. Scholarship award funds will not exceed the total cost of the housing balance for the semester of application.

Clarence E. Robinson Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Clarence E. Robinson Jr. and to recognize his many contributions to UMBC. The scholarship is a tribute to his exemplary leadership as Director of Residential Life and as a person.

Have you ever wondered how Residential Life operates daily? Who are the staff, what do they do?  What type of events are planned and who plans them?  The questions go on and on; now you can get some answers! 

Join Residential Life for Open House, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm in Erickson Hall.  Fun, fall foods and finally answers to those questions you’ve been contemplating.

This is the event for the all the champions out there! Whether it’s in the Super Smash Bros Tournament, The Inflatable Obstacle Course, Dodge ball, Tug-o-war, or Bubble Soccer this is your time to prove yourself! Represent your community and bring all you got! Winning community gets a BIG SHINY trophy and the reigning title of Campus Conquest Champions.

University Health Services is providing flu shots for students, staff and faculty on Thursday, September 24, and Friday, September 25.

The cost of the flu shot is $20.00. Payment can be made by cash, check, UMBC campus card, or billed to your insurance. UHS will provide the vaccines until supplies run out. Please bring your UMBC red ID campus card.

Thursday Sept. 24, 12 noon - 6 pm - The Commons Main Street

Friday Sept. 25, 10 am - 2 pm - The Commons Main Street

If you cannot make it to the clinic days, you are welcome to come to University Health Services to receive your flu shot.  University Health Services is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and located on the ground floor of Erickson Hall.  UHS also accepts credit/debit cards as a form of payment at the Health Center.
