A delegation of senior officials from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at the National Institutes of Health (NIH-NICHD) visited with UMBC faculty and administrative leaders to discuss opportunities for scientific collaborations. The NICHD leaders presented ongoing work at NOCHD and opportunities for research collaborations. Research and educational discussions continued over lunch between UMBC representatives and the NICHD delegation. Hosted by UMBC’s Office of the Vice President for Research, the NICHD delegation was comprised of Dr. Regina Smith James, Director, Office of Health Equity, Dr. Rebecca Clark, Branch Chief, Population Dynamics Branch, Dr. Brenda Hanning, Deputy Director, Liaison & Training, in the Office of the Scientific Director - Division of Intramural Research, Dr. Arthur Tyl Hewitt, Branch Chief, Developmental Biology, Genetics and Teratology and Dr. Tonse Raju, Medical Officer.
