The Service Employees International Union Mentoring program hosted a post-election panel last night at Gallaudet University to discuss ways that progressive allies could work together in both the short and long term.

It was an honest conversation among friends to discuss the ways in which labor, LGBT, immigration and other populations intersect as well as methods for making our individual goals shared ones.

In this spirit of honesty, I must admit that I entered the room a bit exhausted from election travel. Yet after the two hour discussion I left with renewed energy, new friends, and the hope that we can continue to move forward together.
