Joyce and Willie: Attached is the the final action on pension and healthcare reform. While I recognize that people will be very disappointed in the erosion of these benefits, I think the outcome is significantly better than the alternatives that got serious consideration. The more favorable outcome is a result of the way CUSF, CUSS and USM worked together to promote the less damaging alternatives. PJ, who deserves special kudos for his efforts on this and other issues, tells me that Cap Wiz resulted in some 1300 messages sent to members of the General Assembly by faculty and staff on these issues. Thank you for encouraging people to speak up and for supporting our USM wide efforts.
