<Title>Psi Chi: The FINAL Event of the Semester!</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><span><div><span><p><span>Good evening, everyone!</span></p><br><p><span>It’s bittersweet to say, but our </span><span><em>LAST Psi Chi event of Fall 2021</em></span><span> is finally here!</span></p><br><p><span><strong>TOMORROW (Thursday, December 9th) from 12-3PM</strong></span><span><strong>,</strong> we’re teaming up with some other groups on campus to help make Winter &amp; Holiday themed greeting cards for older adults in the area!</span></p><p><span>If you attended our Psi Chi Boba &amp; Hangout event this semester, this event will have a similar setup. If you decide to attend in person, come join us at a table in the Commons to make your card (</span><span><em>I mean, how much fun is group arts &amp; crafts?!</em></span><span>). We’ll provide any materials necessary (but feel free to bring your own - stickers, markers, etc. - if you’d like!) and will take care of the drop-off of the cards. All you need to bring is yourself! </span></p><p><span>We will, as always, be taking attendance for this event. If you still need your 3 attendance points for active membership, this is your final opportunity!</span></p><br><p><span>If you can’t attend in person, that’s no problem either. <Title>Psi Chi: Board Candidate Nominations: DEADLINE EXTENDED</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><span><p><span>Attention Psi Chi Members!</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>I have an important announcement!</span></p><p><span>As you know, with the end of the semester being only NEXT WEEK (</span><span>stay strong y’all!</span><span>), Psi Chi is officially on the lookout for new board members for the Spring 2022 semester. </span><span><strong>We are extending the deadline for candidate nominations to the end of the day TOMORROW, Wednesday December 8th, at 11:59pm. </strong></span></p><p><br></p><p><span>According to the SGA, Psi Chi cannot run as a club without having filled the roles of </span><span><em>President, Vice President, and Treasurer</em></span><span>:</span><span> all of which will be open and must be filled, among others. We would love to see Psi Chi continue to support psychology students and provide interesting opportunities in the future. Being a board member would look great on your resume, and would provide great leadership skills that will come in handy for future jobs or graduate school applications. No experience is needed, the only requirement is to be a member of Psi Chi! We’ll provide all the necessary training beyond that. It’s a pretty good deal if you ask me! </span></p><p><br></p><p><span>If you’re interested in running for our open roles of </span><span><strong>President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer,</strong></span><span>all you need to do is sign up and submit some statements to THIS Google Form: </span><a href="https://forms.gle/xMCsYv5DazgVmU9N6" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>https://forms.gle/xMCsYv5DazgVmU9N6</span></a></p><p><span>I’ll attach the descriptions of the officer roles to this email/post, but keep in mind that not all of those listed are currently on the application.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>The application is easy (</span><span>seriously! check it out</span><span>), you’ll be trained by our current board members for the position of your choice, and it will provide you an opportunity to meet new people and learn some leadership skills. Honestly, why NOT run for a Psi Chi board position?</span></p><p><span>Elections will be held sometime prior to the end of the semester. If you have any further questions about elections, board positions, or anything else, you can always reach out to one of the current officers. How can a psychology student narrow down their own future plans if they haven’t gotten to explore each of the different paths that are available to them? Well… Psi Chi is here to help!</span></p><p><span>On </span><span><strong>Thursday December 2nd, from 3-6PM</strong></span><span>, Psi Chi will be hosting a </span><span><em>Careers in Psychology panel</em></span><span>featuring professionals from a wide variety of Psychology-related fields. Each professional will give a brief presentation about the field in which they work and answer questions to give Psi Chi members a breadth of knowledge about different psychology careers.
