President Hrabowski, speaking in his role as chair of the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans, participated in a panel discussion Monday morning focused on strategies for helping more African American students develop the skills needed for academic success.
The Nov. 18 event, hosted by the U.S. Department of Education, was organized by the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans. The Initiative also is holding a series of Twitter roundtables this week in recognition of American Education Week.
