Due to upcoming university closures and the coronavirus outbreak, we will be cancelling our GBM tomorrow March 11th. We hope everyone stays safe and has a wonderful spring break!

There are a few events with the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy AMPM (APhA-ASP Maryland Pre-Pharmacy Mentorship) students for this semester!

On Tuesday, March 10th Mock Interviews will take place from 6-8pm at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy gallery. This will be the perfect opportunity to gain some interviewing skills and learn more about how the interviewing process works! Please use this link to sign up for the Mock Interviews.

On Friday, March 27th there will be a St. Patrick's Pharmacy Social on our campus from 6-8pm. It will take place in room 120 of the Biology Building (BIOL 120). This event will give you all a chance to meet/network with Pharmacy students from the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy and engage in some fun activities! This event is a potluck, so please use this sheet to sign up for the potluck. The flyer is attached.

Lastly, there will be a PharmCAS workshop in April, so stay tuned for more information regarding that! Hope to see you at these events.

Thank you to everyone that came out to our GBM with our Howard University guest speaker on Wednesday! For those that are interested and for those who could not make the meeting, I have attached below the flyer for the open house they are hosting Tues April 28th from 5-7pm at their College of Pharmacy! 

Another upcoming event we may host is a Q&A with a guest speaker, who works at Veeva, a company that is dedicated to providing cloud based software to pharmaceutical and biomedical firms in the drug discovery, approval, and marketing process. We will be having our next GBM tomorrow Wed 2/26 from 12-12:50pm in SOND 113. We will be having a must-see guest speaker from Howard University!! He will be here to talk about the programs at Howard University & can answer any questions or concerns you have about your pre-pharmacy track! Please be sure to stop by to listen :)

Our first general body meeting of the semester is this Wednesday Feb 12th from 12-12:50PM in SOND 113*! We will be having introductions, an overview of the semester, some icebreakers, and a fun game! We are looking forward to seeing you all there.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! We will be having a GBM this Wednesday Dec 4th from 12-12:50pm in PUP 206. There will be a guest speaker- the director of admissions and recruitment of Howard University, College of Pharmacy. This is another opportunity to start thinking about your future after undergrad and learn/explore more pharmacy programs. Get all your questions answered too! Hope to see you guys there.

AMPM and SNPha will be hosting a PCAT/personal statement workshop next Saturday December 7th from 9:30am-12pm at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD. It's a great event to learn about how to study/write from pharmacy students who have already experienced it. There is a parking garage located very close to the campus as well as street parking. Breakfast will be provided. Use this link to RSVP. 

Also, there is no GBM tomorrow, so have a great Thanksgiving weekend!!

We will be having our big social event this Friday November 22nd from 6-8pm in the Skylight Rooms located on the third floor of the Commons with all the other pre-professional health societies on campus. They will include Pre-Med Society, Pre-Dental, Pre-Nursing, Pre-PA, Pre-PT, Pre-Vet, and Pre-Optometry. This is a wonderful opportunity to mingle, form new relationships on campus, and learn about the other health professions. There will be food, games, and much more fun in store!! Just a reminder that we will be having mock interviews this Friday November 8th from 6-8pm in Math & Psych 101. This event is hosted by pharmacy students from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy to help you with the interview process when applying to pharmacy schools. They will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have with the application process.
