GBM Tomorrow: 2/24!
Hi Pre-Pharmers!
We will be having our next GBM tomorrow Wednesday 2/24 from 12-12:50pm on Zoom. We will be having a very special guest speaker from Howard University, College of Pharmacy, as well as a visit from some UMBC alum Pharmacy students! They will be joining us to talk about the programs at Howard and answer any questions or concerns you have about your pre-pharmacy track. Please be sure to stop by and listen! :)

We wanted to reach out to let you know about an event happening with the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy's APhA-ASP Maryland Pharmacy Mentorship Program (AMPM). On Thursday, January 28th from 5:30-6:30pm they will be hosting a casual Zoom Meet & Greet. This will be the perfect opportunity to talk to current pharmacy students, get to know members of the program, and ask any questions in a casual and fun environment.

Special Presentation: Be the Match!
GBM on 11/18 at 12 PM on Zoom!
Good evening Pre-Pharmers!
I just wanted to remind everyone that we have a special presentation happening tomorrow in our GBM on 11/18 at 12pm on Zoom (as always!)! It is with Ms. Beth Carrion, and she will be presenting about the bone marrow registry, a very important registry that helps cancer patients tremendously. We hope you come by just for a bit to learn more about it!
Another reminder, the APhA-ASP Maryland Pharmacy Mentorship (AMPM) Committee at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore has recently opened up their application for a valuable mentorship opportunity for undergraduate students who are interested in Pre-Pharmacy. This is a very helpful (and FREE!) program that can help us Pre-Pharmacy students in numerous ways such as preparation for interviews, study tips for the PCAT, and more! UMSOP APhA-ASP Maryland Pre-Pharmacy Mentorship Program
Good evening Pre-Pharmers,
The APhA-ASP Maryland Pharmacy Mentorship (AMPM) Committee at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore has recently opened up their application for a valuable mentorship opportunity for undergraduate students who are interested in Pre-Pharmacy. The AMPM mentors help in a variety of ways to increase students success, including
- Preparing for Pharmacy School interviews
- Proofreading personal statements
- Providing feedback on resumes and cover letters
- Studying for the PCAT
- Sharing tips and tricks on how to land pharmacy internships and jobs
- Giving general advice on academic, professional, and personal lives.
Additionally, you can find a flyer attached with contact information for any questions you may have. They will be accepting mentees until November 22, 2020 at 11:59pm. Mentor/Mentee pairs will be announced over Thanksgiving break.

Gowda Scholarship is awarded to in-state students interested in pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, with preference given to residents of Prince George's County or students who graduated from a high school in the county. To access the scholarship application you can use
