USC Gould School of Law's ASCEND Pre-Law Summer Institute is the only fully residential and fully funded pre-law program of its kind on the West Coast.
Participating students will have access to personalized support and guidance during the summer institute, as well as throughout their law school application process.

The Institute will take place from July 21 - August 9, 2025.
Comprehensive Benefits
- Professional LSAT test preparation program
- $500 stipend awarded upon successful completion of the program toward LSAT registration expenses
- Opportunities to connect with mentors in the Los Angeles legal community, USC Gould alumni and current students
- Site visits, which may include local law firms, federal, state, and local courts, and public interest law organizations

- This in-person experience, held May 29 – June 18, 2025, offers students a firsthand look at law school and the legal profession.

Each year, FSU College of Law selects outstanding undergraduates to join a network of 1,700+ alumni practicing nationwide.

2025 National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA) Nelson Mandela Pre-Law Scholarship
Open to students/recent graduates planning to attend law school in Fall 2025.
Scholarship Details:
- 1st Place: $5,000 + Certificate
- 2nd Place: $2,000 + Certificate
- 3rd Place: $1,000 + Certificate
Eligibility Criteria:
● Must be a current undergraduate student or recent graduate. To be eligible as a recent graduate, the graduate must have graduated in the Spring or Fall of 2024.
● Must be accepted into an U.S. law school for Fall 2025
● Must attend the NBLSA Pre-Law Symposium on March 14, 2025, in Atlanta, GA.

Boston University's Summer Prelaw Academy: June 3–27, 2025

Anyone is welcome to apply, but the focus of the program is for rising seniors and those who are 1 year away from beginning law school.
BU-SPLA will expose students to foundational law school coursework, critical race theory, and experiential learning. Students will also learn about the law school admissions process and be mentored while working on a personal statement, an optional statement, and a resume. And of course, students will enjoy social outings in Boston and have the opportunity to build community with their peers. BU Law faculty and staff will come together to welcome, teach, and support BU-SPLA students and offer a glimpse into what it is like to be a student at BU Law.
There is no cost to apply to or attend the program. Travel to and from Boston, housing during the program, and many meals will be covered. The program will host several social events on campus and outings in Boston. Additionally, all participants who complete the program will receive a $1500 stipend.
BU-SPLA will take place at BU Law's modern, spacious law complex from June 3–27, 2025.
The application is now open and the deadline to apply is March 15, 2025.

Pre-Law Students: Apply for Alternative Spring Break (ASB) 2025

Pre-Law Students:
Apply for Alternative Spring Break (ASB) 2025 - hosted by UMBC's Center for Democracy and Civic Life.
Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a five-day immersive learning experience in which UMBC undergraduate and graduate students explore the systemic and human dimensions of complex social issues in Baltimore.
- Participants build connections with local leaders, organizations, and policy makers and develop a sophisticated understanding of available resources and challenges.
- The program helps participants identify pathways to long-term community engagement.
This year's ASB program will take place from Monday, March 17 – Friday, March 21, 2025.
ASB participants spend much of the program in small groups (co-led by undergraduate students trained by the Center for Democracy and Civic Life) focused on exploring a specific topic in depth.
ASB 2025 groups will focus on:
- Health and Patient Care Equity (co-led by Vunnathi Ankem and Natalia Cooper)
- Environmental Justice and Sustainability (co-led by Bianca Canales and Tanzila Malik)
- Reforming Juvenile Justice (co-led by Aanayah Trotman and Nyssa Vilchis)
As part of your application, you will get to identify the topic groups that interest you most.
The application is due by Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
