SRA International’s goal for 2013 is to provide educational learning opportunities which provide best practices, practical applications, and new/creative ideas that attendees can implement in their own organizations. SRA is accepting proposals for 75-minute concurrent sessions, 3.5-hour half day or 7-hour full day workshops.  

As an SRA International speaker, you’ll be joining a fantastic lineup of presenters from around the world. This is an opportunity to share what you know, build your profile in the community, and make connections with new colleagues.

SRA invites you to submit a proposal to present at the below 2013 Section Meetings and/or Annual Meeting. You can present by yourself, with a panel or using group exercises. New as well as recurring topics and speakers are always welcome!

Honoraria & Travel Expenses
As a non-profit association, SRA does not pay an honorarium for speaker presentations at section or annual meetings.  The speaker is responsible for all travel-related and accommodation expenses.

Sponsored by the Office for Research Administration, this event will be held daily beginning Monday, October 29, 2012 through Friday November 2, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

Presenters from various federal agencies, such as the NIH, NEH, DOD, ONR, Department of Education, DOE, AHRQ, USDA, and NSF will provide updates and information in 90 minute segments on research, polices and funding priorities of each federal agency represented. These sessions are being offered in an open house format – come for one session relevant to your area or the entire afternoon of each day.

Anyone (PIs, research team members, students, etc.) who is involved in a research project have the responsibility to act in a proper and ethical manner.

NSF has updated the Grant Proposal Guide (GPG) and the Award & Administration Guide (AAG), with changes effective January 14, 2013 providing clarification and updated guidance on proposals and awards involving vertebrate animals. These updates now contain references to the review of wildlife research protocols, the IACUCs role in the review and approval of such research, and the processes to follow for UMBC investigators to follow when submitting and/or receiving funding from the NSF.
