Join the UMBC Delegation to the National Model African Union
The Model African Union provides a unique opportunity to college
students to study the role, structure, and performance of the 54
nation-state African Union through simulations augmented by briefings at African Embassies in Washington, D.C.
The MAU demonstrates the patterns of cooperation and conflict that characterize intra-African diplomacy in search for solutions to continental issues. The 2014 MAU will be at Howard University, February 20 – 23, 2014.
UMBC will represent the nation of Swaziland!!!! Preparation is going
on right now.
The UMBC Delegation to the National Model African Union is coordinated by the Department of Africana Studies and the Department of Political Science.
