Notice Regarding Political Internship Opportunities

To All Students:

Election years are particularly exciting times for students of Political Science, and also offer unique opportunities to participate directly in the field of our study. To this end, the Department of Political Science has posted and emailed several notices regarding internship opportunities for various local campaigns. Doing so would be inappropriate for a state-funded educational institution such as UMBC, and we apologize if anyone has taken any of our messages as representing the views or opinions of the Department of Political Science, any of its staff or faculty members, or the university community.

For any student or campaign wishing to notify us of any political internship or volunteer opportunity, we ask that you refrain from any partisan or subjective wording in your message, or any language that can be construed as a campaign advertisement rather than a simple notification. Previous postings that have contained language that could be perceived to constitute an endorsement have been removed from the Political Science myUMBC group.

Once again, we apologize for any confusion we may have caused, and thank you for your understanding as we strive to provide you with all the opportunities our exciting region offers.

With best regards,

Laszlo Korossy

Highly recommended for all students interested in International Affairs and Relations, Comparative Politics, or seeking a better understanding of the global political climate.
