Hi friends!!
ANOTHER REMINDER THAT THIS WEDNESDAY (TOMORROW!!) during our normal PhilAnon meeting (5:30 PM in PAHB 441) we will be holding another faculty/student discussion with pizza!
From the Center for Ethics and Values:
"Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 5:30 pm.
We will be discussing a paper by Samuel Scheffler connected to themes in his upcoming talk:
The Evelyn Barker Memorial Lecture: Existential Catastrophe & the Love of Humanity, which will take place on May 8 at 7 pm in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. This event is the last Public Forum of the Center for Ethics and Values and also part of the Dresher Center's Humanities Forum. Co-sponsored by the Dresher Center for the Humanities; the Department of Geography and Environmental Systems; and the Human Context of Science and Technology Program. We hope to see you there!
You are welcome to come even if you don't have time to read the paper, or only have time to read part of it, though you will no doubt get more out of the discussion if you've read it. And it's a short and interesting essay!"
PLEASE COME!! IT WON'T BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU!!
XOXO
The Queen
