Last week we hosted an Awards Information Session and Leadership Workshop. Two of our members presented at the event: Simon Stacey, our chapter President, presented on the various awards offered through Phi Kappa Phi and Shelby Byrd, our student Vice President, guided the group through some fascinating and interactive leadership skills practices. Shelby is a graduate student at UMBC pursuing her Master's in Instructional Systems Development.
We also had a raffle drawing for two door prizes. Congratulations to Justin Chavez who won "The Student Leadership Challenge" by James Kouzes and Barry Posner, the book on which our leadership workshop was based, and to Paul Vanik who received a Phi Kappa Phi flashdrive.
