The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi ·May 24, 2022 at 11:37 AM
Greetings, Phi
Kappa Phi members:
This spring, we
initiated our new members into Chapter 22, Baltimore Campuses, and chapter
membership now numbers well over 1,950. We are now preparing to
welcome members to our Executive Committee as chapter
officers. According to the society bylaws, we need to have at minimum
a President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and two student Vice
Presidents serving on our chapter governing body. We invite you to nominate yourself or another to serve in one of the
following offices:
President Elect
Vice President (can elect 2
or more)
Secretary
Special Projects Officer
Student Vice President
(must elect 2)
The
responsibilities of these offices, excerpted from the chapter bylaws, are
appended below. The Executive Committee meets monthly (virtually) to
conduct chapter business, and we welcome new and continuing members to join
us in creating and promoting a vibrant and active Phi Kappa Phi chapter for
our two campuses. All officers are expected to participate, and to attend
these meetings. The only requirement imposed by The Honor Society of Phi
Kappa Phi is that that officers be active, that is, dues-paid, members of
the Society and Chapter. Dues may be paid via the National Organization website:
phikappaphi.org.
We will conduct
our election from May 30th to June 3rd, so we request that nominations be
emailed to UMBC-UMB@phikappaphi.org with a subject line of "2022 Nomination" no later than Friday, May
27th. At the time of nomination, please include a brief biography and
statement of interest in serving in the position. If you are nominating
another, we will contact them to determine if they would like to
participate and ask for their bio and statement of interest at that time.
Please join us. We
look forward to hearing from you!
