A: I enjoy the planing of events for my organization. this includes all the financial work as well as the advertisement.  I also enjoy tutoring kids as well as some students on campus.

A: Staff Psychologist and Outreach Coordinator at University Counseling Services (UCS).

A: Answer 1: I facilitate well-being.  Answer 2: I help make lemonade when life has given you lemons

Q: What aspect of your UMBC role(s) do you enjoy most?

A: I love that I get to have meaningful conversations with students every day.  There is tremendous power in being able to tell one’s story (one of the many things I love about the process of counseling).  I love being in a position to help students tell their personal stories in a manner that confers dignity and helps students learn how to become the person they hope to become.

Q: What is the most important or memorable thing you learned in college/have learned at UMBC?

A: “Behold the turtle. It only makes progress when it sticks its neck out.”

A:  Hobbies. I love ‘em – and I love starting new hobbies. Currently I’m really into roasting my own coffee, duckpin bowling, and running. I think the next hobby I’ll pick up is going to be learning how to make a podcast. Someday I think it would be neat to explore creative with ways to promote well-being and mental health in downloadable/audio format. If anyone has ideas for how to learn this, I’m all ears.

Political Science Complete™ (PSC) contains full text for more than 520 journals, and indexing and abstracts for over 2,900 titles, (including top-ranked scholarly journals), many of which are unique to the product. PSC has a worldwide focus, reflecting the globalization of contemporary political discourse.

The database also features over 340 full-text reference books and monographs, and over 36,000 full-text conference papers, including those of the International Political Science Association. We will be departing from the Commons Circle at 12:30 to go Whitewater Rafting on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers!! Tickets are $35 (a great deal, since Whitewater typically costs $60+ dollars per person!) and are available at the CIC starting on March 9th! Keep in mind that there are only 40, so pick your ticket up ASAP! Be prepared to get wet and have a great time with good friends!! Lunch will be provided for us at no extra cost to anyone. This is included in the ticket price of $35. However, if you would like to rent a wetsuit (see the link below) it will be $11 the day of the trip. They will outfit you with a wetsuit when you arrive.
