Please join us for this fall’s AI Symposium, titled “Exploring the Gadgets &amp; Gizmos in Your AI Toolkit.” This fall’s series will highlight various topics ranging from Google Gemini and its integration into UMBC platforms, to the broader legal implications of using generative AI, and much more!     <div class="html-content"><div>The LEADERSHOPS series consists of workshops that focus on various student centered leadership-related topics facilitated by Campus Life staff and student leaders. </div><div><br></div><div>This program aims to contribute to the leadership development and ongoing learning of UMBC undergraduate students. We have two scheduled leadership workshops for this semester:</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><em><a href="https://my3.my.umbc.edu/groups/osl/events/89231" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">The LeadHERship Problem</a><strong> - Monday, March 8th @ 12pm - 1pm</strong></em></div><div><em>Facilitated by: Nailah-Benā Chambers (SGA Senator), Beatriz Gutiérrez-Malagón (Coordinator for Leadership)<br></em><ul><li>In honor of International Women's Day, Leadershops is creating a special leadership workshop focused on women! The LeadHERship Problem is about taking a deeper look into the relationship between women and leadership. Attendees will learn about how our socialization affects our views regarding our own identity and our capacity to lead. You know, the part where men and women often get paid differently for doing the same job? The gap is even bigger for people of color and people with disabilities. What can you do, besides wringing your hands and hoping you don't fall in?<br><br></div><div>Learn to negotiate your salary, that's what! Women Involved in Learning and Leadership (WILL) along with the Women's Center, GWST, the McNair Scholars Program, and the Honors College is bringing another edition of $tart $mart to UMBC. This workshop will help you learn how to ask for what you're worth, even in this tight job market, and help you avoid one of the most common pitfalls for new employees: failing to negotiate that starting salary.
