<Title>Meet the Facilitator 2024: Meghna Chandrasekaran</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><span><p><span>About the Facilitator</span><span>:</span></p><p><span>Meghna Chandrasekaran (she/her/hers) is a Junior Political Science and Biological Sciences major. Outside of UMBC, she enjoys going for drives and exploring new places, listening to music, and sometimes writing music. Meghna believes that the best leader is an authentic one, what she strives to be in everyday life. Her goals as a Leadership Peer Facilitator is to model authentic leadership through understanding personal values and how it intersects in group settings. Aside from being an LPF, Meghna serves as the Executive Vice President of the Student Government Association and as a Research Intern and STRiVE Coach with the Center for Democracy and Civic Life. </span></p><br><p><span>About the Leadershop:</span></p><p><span>We talk about how we show up in places, but have you looked at how you show up <strong>authentically </strong>when working with groups to make <strong>change</strong>? This session explores just that through <strong>interactive games</strong>.</span></p><p><span><br></span></p><p><span>What does Leadership mean to you:</span></p><p><span>Leadership means to be authentic. It is rooted in the idea that effective leadership involves being true to oneself and being genuine in interactions with others. Authentic leadership looks at aligning actions and decisions with their core values and beliefs. </span></p><p><br></p><p><span><em>Ice-Breaker: Fun fact about yourself</em>!</span></p><p><span>I have a motorcycle license in India and am working on getting my motorcycle license here!</span></p><br><br><p><span>The Leadershops series consists of 1 hour workshops that focus on various student centered leadership-related topics facilitated by Campus Life staff and Leadership Peer Facilitators. This program aims to contribute to the leadership development and ongoing learning of UMBC undergraduate students. </span></p><div><span><br></span></div></span></div>

Is being seen the only way to lead? <span>Join leadership peer facilitator, Caleb Cagle</span><span>,</span><span> in his <em>Leading from the Sidelines</em> virtual workshop as he challenges the tale-as-old-as-time: "all leaders are extroverts". This workshop focuses on what <strong><a href="https://umbc.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=540918d3-4d1e-493b-b84d-ab9301232f71" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">introverted leadership</a> </strong>looks like and the influence it holds. </span><div><br></div><div><span><strong><u>Meet the Presenter:</u></strong></span></div><div><span><strong><u><br></u></strong></span></div><div><span><p><span>Caleb Cagle (he/him/his), is a Junior Information Systems major here at UMBC. Caleb’s favorite colors are blue and forest/emerald green and he loves healthy foods like granola bars, fresh fruit and vegetables but is always down for some candy. Caleb believes that leadership is setting the example and maintaining integrity both of yourself and your communities. Doing what is "right" even if it goes against the rules. </span><span>His goals as a Leadership Peer Facilitator (LPF) are to really branch out and be really active within UMBC as a whole. He was recently hired to be apart of the election board of SGA but also would like to get involved with SEB, join more clubs and discover more about other cultures as well as aspects of myself that I may have overlooked. Outside of being a LPF, Caleb works two jobs, plays soccer, and is a member of the Hispanic Culture Club, ChewMBC, Sailing Team and an IHU peer facilitator. <Title>As of 3/13: CL's Mosaic, Interfaith and Pride Centers Closed</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><p><strong>Dear Campus Life’s Diversity and Inclusion Community Members,</strong></p><h6><p><span>Given the current and anticipated class cancellation and modifications to campus operations as a result of UMBC's spring break week and <a href="https://my3.my.umbc.edu/groups/insights/posts/91189" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">guidance related to COVID-19</a>, Campus Life’s Mosaic Center, Interfaith Center and Pride Center will be closed beginning today, Friday, March 13th until March 22nd.
