We are trying to build our collection of photos and videos beginning this year for future marketing and historical documentation.  </div><div><br></div><div><strong>What are the time commitments for the Coordinator of Photography &amp; Videography? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>The regular time commitments of the Coordinator of Photography &amp; Videography vary. Some weeks there might be several events from SGA that will require the Coordinator of Photography &amp; Videography to be present at - some weeks, there may not be many things happening at all. While dates for specific events will be given, the Coordinator of Photography &amp; Videography will also be responsible for editing photos/videos which may take a considerable amount of time, but they will be able to create their own schedule. SGA work should not get in the way of self-care time and studying for your classes - you come first! </div><div><br></div><div><strong>What do you get in return as the Coordinator of Photography &amp; Videography? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>This is the perfect opportunity to make your mark on the UMBC community, and work with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to make meaningful change for years to come. Build your portfolio and apply your skills to a real experience. The Coordinator of Photography &amp; Videography is also paid an annual stipend.</div><div><br></div><div><div><strong>How do I apply to be a member of the Executive Council, or any other positions in SGA? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>Easy! They will coordinate all communication efforts with the support of the other members of the Department of Communications, and lead Department of Communications meetings.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What is the time commitment for the Director of Communications? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>The Director of Communications is required to set a regular date and time for Department of Communications meetings, based on the availability of the other members of the Department. Outside of meetings, the expectation for the Director is 5 - 10 hours per week of SGA-related work. Note that some weeks may be more involved than others. Don't forget to apply at <a href="http://sga.umbc.edu/apply" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">sga.umbc.edu/apply</a> by <strong>Friday, August 17th at 5pm</strong>! </em></div><div><em><br></em></div><div><em>-- <a href="mailto:csulli1@umbc.edu" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Collin</a> &amp; <a href="mailto:vdesh1@umbc.edu" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Vrinda</a> </em></div></div><div><br></div><div><div><strong>What does the Administrator of the Executive Council do? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>The Administrator will take notes/minutes at the Executive Council meetings, coordinate the calendars of the members of the Executive Council, and coordinates with the Secretaries of Senate and Finance Board to ensure cohesive record-keeping across SGA. </div><div><br></div><div><strong>What is the time commitment for the Administrator of Executive Council? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>The Administrator of the Executive Council is required to attend council meetings, which will take place every other Wednesday during free hour. Outside of meetings, the expectation for the Administrator is 3 - 7 hours per week of SGA-related work. Note that some weeks may be more involved than others. Your SGA work should not get in the way of self-care time and studying for your classes - you come first! </div><div><br></div><div><strong>What do you get in return as the Administrator of the Executive Council? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>This is the perfect opportunity to make your mark on the UMBC community, and work with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to make meaningful change for years to come. Your work will be essential to maintaining organization within SGA, which will make us a more effective and efficient organization! The Administrator of the Executive Council is also paid an annual stipend.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What happened to SGA Departments or Units?</strong></div><div><br></div><div>It's all about collaboration. In our experience, titles like "Unit Coordinator of &lt;&lt;insert specific category here&gt;&gt; create labels and are barriers for collaboration. Our interest is getting initiatives and projects done - not assigning titles. At the beginning of the year, Executive Council members will determine what opportunities on campus and in our community most interest them. They will build a team of individuals that are dedicated to improving our campus.</div><div><br></div><div>From academic affairs, to health and wellness, to diversity and inclusion, to environmental sustainability, to service and community outreach, to civic engagement, to everything in between -- Executive Council members will work with their team to implement solutions to campus concerns. Addressing these concerns could involve coordinating town halls, collaborating with administration to develop a campus-wide initiative, or engaging organizations outside the loop. </div><div><br></div><div>Even if you don't have a specific initiative in mind, you are still encouraged to apply to the Executive Council!     provide a block of 75, 20, or 10 meals which can be used at True Grit’s 
    or any retail dining operation on campus (excluding Skylight Room which 
    has a separate program). <br></small></p><p><small>With the retail venues, you can purchase 
    the station's meal deal or use the meal equivalency ($6.25 for 
    breakfast, lunch, and dinner)  towards your retail purchase.  You can 
    purchase multiple Faculty and Staff Block Meal Plans and use the meals 
    anyway you like, inviting friends, family or guests to dine with you. 
    Save 30% for Lunch and 37% for dinner off True Grit’s cash door price 
    with the Faculty and Staff Meal Plan! <br></small></p><p><small><strong>The Faculty and Staff 75, 20, or 10 Block Plan does not expire and can now be purchased with credit card on dineoncampus.com/umbc!  <br></strong></small></p><p><small><strong>Payroll deduction available for the 75 Block Meal Plan.
