Student Leader of the Week!

MEET KIYAH!

Kiyah is a Psychology major expected to graduate by the end of the year! She has a passion for student development and believes that leadership is defined as supporting and guiding folks with the intention to achieve a common goal or vision. She has spent some quality time at Campus Life, and even served as a Leadership Peer Facilitator (LPF) this past year! In her LPF role, she empowered students to tap into their capacity to lead through her facilitation and workshops. Aside from developing leaders on campus, Kiyah’s involvements also include: sharing her vocal talent in the UMBC Gospel Choir, and being a member of the Black Student Union. Fun fact: her favorite color is purple and she is a fan of Spicy Sweet Doritos.

The new bipartisan initiative brings together unlikely allies to mobilize people from all walks of life to tackle climate change and pollution in the same way we mobilized to win World War II.
