Consider joining this session if you are struggling to put down a plan for yourself or follow up with your schedule to finish your degree. In this event, you will learn how and when to ask for help, what your research advisor job is, how to create a realistic timeline to finish your degree, time management skills, and how to navigate uncertainty.</span><div><br><div><p>Join Dr. Carter-Veale, a Dissertation Coach nationally recognized for helping hundreds of students finish their degrees. Dr. CV has obtained master's degrees from Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; her services include helping students navigate sticky situations, leverage productivity techniques, and overcome barriers to promptly complete their degree.</p><p><strong>About our speaker:</strong></p><p>Dr. Carter-Veale has over 15 years of experience in graduate education.     <div class="html-content"><span><p><span>Hello all,  </span></p><p><span>The Office of Sustainability is hosting a community screening of the Sundance-nominated climate documentary “Anote’s Ark,” directed by Matthieu Rytz. It focuses on an island nation called Kiribati in the South Pacific struggling with rising sea levels.</span></p><p><span>Using the film, we will be exploring climate urgency, civic leadership, and our responsibilities as global citizens.     <div class="html-content"><p><strong>This position is open to Undergraduate UMBC students only.</strong> You do not have to be a visual arts major to apply to this position. </p>
    <p>We’re looking for students who are comfortable working in:</p>
    <p>Illustrator CC+<br>Photoshop CC+<br>InDesign CC+<br>Bonus Points If:</p>
    <p>You have experience in pre- and post-production print, or any other kind of printing skills<br>You have interest or experience with animation/motion design<br>You can get super nerdy about typography<br>You have an interest or experience in photography</p>
    <p>Your personality is along the lines of:</p>
    <p>Self-motivated<br>Team-oriented<br>Attentive to details<br>Manages time and deadlines well<br>You love design too much</p>
    <p>Non-negotiables:</p>
    <p>Be highly dedicated &amp; organized<br>Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher<br>Must pass a judicial check<br>Must have at least 2 on-campus semesters left<br>Must be able to work at least 15 hours a week<br>Be an undergraduate student</p>
