Looking for Mental Health Focus Group Participants
As a result of demonstrated need to better support the mental health needs of our campus community, UMBC is working with an outside agency to conduct focus groups among undergraduate and graduate students to better understand the mental health needs of our campus community. All students are welcome to attend.

NASPA Undergraduate Student Conference
Information sessions held on 1/19 and 2/8
If you've ever thought about how you may be able to turn your current work with students into a career, I've got info for you!
If you're considering working in student affairs in higher education in the future, consider attending the NASPA Undergraduate Student Conference to learn more about the field! This annual conference, which will be held virtually on March 19–20, is intended to help undergraduate students who are considering a career supporting college students outside the classroom network with peers and learn about the realities and rewards of the field. The conference committee is also hosting two information sessions to help you learn more about the conference and get to know some of your fellow participants across the country. The two sessions will be:
- Wednesday, January 19th, from 5–6 pm Eastern Standard Time
- Tuesday, February 8th, from 8–9 pm Eastern Standard Time

On-Campus Employment Opportunity During Winter Break, $15 per hour
UMBC Retriever Integrated Health is looking for students to serve as COVID-19 Testing Support Staff during January.
They will assist the Retriever Integrated Health team with COVID-19 testing initiatives on UMBC's campus. The primary responsibility will be to assist with the "Manifest" process, where test samples are collected, transported, documented, and prepared for shipment to the laboratory. Additional duties assigned will further support COVID testing initiatives and may present opportunities for additional weekly hours on a flexible, as-needed basis.
The position pays $15.00 an hour.

RIH Closed for Retreat on Friday, January 21, 2022
Due to a scheduled departmental retreat, Retriever Integrated Health will close on Friday, January 21, 2022 and will reopen on Monday, January 24, 2022.
In case of an emergency on January 21, 2022 please contact University police at 410-455-5555.
