    Part time </h4><h4>Vacancies: 4 </h4><h4>Timeline: Sept 1, 2019 – Sept 1, 2020* </h4><div><br></div><h4><span>The Retriever Essentials team is proud to announce that we will be forming a Student Leadership Board for the 2019-2020 school year! </span><span>Our goal is to engage passionate student leaders in a sustainable and impactful way. </span></h4><h4><span><br></span><span>The main role of the Student Ambassador position is to create and sustain connections
    between Retriever Essentials and the broader student body and campus community.
    The Retriever Essentials Student Leadership Board contributes to the vision of
    Retriever Essentials by promoting Retriever Essentials events, engaging the
    UMBC community, and fulfilling essential pantry-operation tasks including
    collecting and inventorying donations, and packing and delivering food bags.
    Ambassadors may also assist with the design and </span><span>facilitation</span><span> of workshops
    addressing the stigma of food insecurity, community dinners, food drives, and
    other engaging outreach events. This means that it is essential for all
    Ambassadors to demonstrate strong leadership skills, to be team-oriented, and have willingness to contribute to the vision of the Retriever Essentials Advisory
    Board.</span></h4><h4><span><br></span><span>If you know any students who would be a great fit for our Student Leadership Board send them our way!</span></h4><h4><span><br></span><span>Are you a student with at least 1 more year on campus who is interested in strengthening the outreach of Retriever Essentials while gaining important leadership experience? <Title>IMPORTANT: UMBC Transit Route Changes - Fall 2019</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><p><strong><u><span>Beginning 08.26.19 the following route names, configuration, and scheduling changes will go into effect at UMBC Transit:</span></u></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong><span>Paradise (Weekdays &amp; Weekends) </span></strong><span>— The existing Courtney Road route will be renamed to the <strong>Paradise </strong>route. This change highlights a major destination and point-of-interest for riders on this route.  The new color for this route will be <strong><em>purple</em></strong>. There will be no changes to existing stops or schedule.</span></p><p><span><br></span></p><p></p><p><strong>Courtney Road (Weekdays Only) </strong>— The current Courtney Road<strong> </strong>route will be changed to an entirely new route. The new route will focus on commuter students living in west Arbutus communities - Courtney Rd. and Westland Blvd. This route will operate during peak hours <strong><em>only</em></strong> and every 30 minutes during those periods (8:15am – 11:45am and 5:15pm – 8:45pm). Along with the Paradise route, riders living in these communities will have access to and from campus every 15 minutes during peak hours.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><span>Arundel (Weekends Only) </span></strong><span>— The existing Arundel route color will be changed to <strong><em>grey</em></strong>. There will be no changes to the existing stops or schedule.</span><span> </span></p><p><span><br></span></p><p></p><p><strong>OCA</strong> <strong>Mocha</strong> (Office of Community Affairs) — Transit will be providing a shuttle to downtown Arbutus – East Drive<strong>, </strong>OCA Mocha, and the Greater Arbutus Business/Entertainment District. This route will operate every 30 minutes Monday thru Friday beginning at 8:00am thru 10:00pm.     <div class="html-content"><p><strong><span>***I-695 TRAFFIC ALERT***</span></strong></p><p><strong><span>EIGHT MONTH RAMP CLOSURE AND DETOUR FROM OUTER LOOP (SOUTHBOUND) I-695 TO MD 144 (FREDERICK ROAD)</span></strong></p><p><strong><em>Long-Term Closure and Detour Begins Monday Night, August 5</em></strong></p><p><strong>(July 30, 2019)</strong> – Beginning Monday, August 5 at 9 p.m., the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (<span>MDOT</span>SHA) will close and detour the ramp from the outer loop (southbound) I-695 to MD 144 (Frederick Road) for eight months.  The work is part of the $68 million I-695 Southwest Outer Loop project and is necessary for crews to reconstruct and widen the ramp to meet the new alignment of the outer loop/southbound I-695.</p><p>Motorists traveling from the outer loop/southbound I-695 to MD 144 will be detoured one mile south to the MD 372 (Wilkens Avenue) interchange. Motorists will use the ramp system to access the inner loop (northbound) I-695 back to the I-695/MD 144 interchange.</p><p> </p><p>Digital message signs at the MD 144 and MD 372 interchanges will alert travelers of the temporary ramp closure and detour. Weather permitting, the ramp will re-open in April 2020. </p><p>The entire I-695 Southwest Outer Loop widening project is scheduled to be complete late fall 2021.     <div class="html-content"><p><span>There will be a schedule change on the Penn Line effective Monday, August 5, marking the completion of Amtrak trackwork south of Baltimore.  We thank our passengers for their patience during this necessary work.  Amtrak trackwork will now shift to the area of Martin Airport north of Baltimore.</span><br><br><span>Most of the schedule changes are minor, but passengers should note that several trains will be earlier than they currently operate.  Full information on the new schedule, including links to download PDF copies of the new schedule, is on the MDOT MTA website at: </span><a href="http://www.mta.maryland.gov/marc-schedule-change-august2019" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">www.mta.maryland.gov/marc-schedule-change-august2019</a><br><br><span>Thank you for riding MARC Train.</span><br></p>
