InterACT is a 5-week dialogue program for UMBC students. This is a cohort experience designed to help students develop the skills to engage in difficult dialogue across differences. Students will meet in small groups and with peer facilitators for a short, weekly session to learn foundational dialogues skills, and to practice empathetic and generous listening, cross-cultural storytelling, and critical self reflection.

- A personalized pre-packed grocery bag!Follow the Google Form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScEDOXyMfNsaXPHslAW96C58FOkNBMhCAqTYfNoGkBorQJZ1w/viewform?usp=sf_link! Pick up location will be on the right side of University Commons (UC) by the ATM, in a blue bin inside the farthest right double doors, and you will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup!
- The Free Farmers Market on Thursday at 2:15pm, as always outside the library on the right side
- Southwest Emergency Services is located within walking distance of campus at 1201 Maple Ave and is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am to 12pm.
- If you are a US citizen, you may qualify for SNAP, federal money for free groceries! Event Notification - Delays Expected - All Routes
Today, Thursday, August 17, 2023 - CEI Arena
Today, Thursday, August 17, 2023, there will be an event at the Arena. Expect heavier than usual traffic in the area of the Arena between 11 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 5 pm.
Delays are expected on all transit routes during these times. For the real-time location of our buses, please see UMBC Transit Tracker.
Non-Transit Riders ~
If you're driving, please follow all police directions and use caution while traveling. Expect heavy traffic in the area, and always yield to pedestrians. Avoid UMBC Boulevard and utilize alternative entrances/exits such as Hilltop Road, Walker Avenue, and Poplar Avenue.

Contingency Plan - UMBC Transit Inclement Weather - 08/07/23
Severe Weather Alert - Severe storms expected 4 – 8 p.m.
Severe storms are expected between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. this evening, with possible damaging winds of speeds greater than 70 mph. Tornadoes and large hail are possible. Be prepared for extended power outages and potential blocked roads by fallen trees.
Depending on road conditions, UMBC Transit may be subject to delays, suspension of service, and or closure. We will assess road conditions on an hourly basis. For the latest route inclement weather advisories and updates, please check here.
Transit Tips:
- Please do not run to catch your bus. Allow yourself extra time to walk to your local bus stop and exercise extreme caution when boarding UMBC Buses.
